Life as a World Traveler – Rodolfo Michel

Rodolfo Michel says you can learn a lot from travel, whether it be down the road or across the continent. The best thing you can do is introduce yourself to other ways of life and hopefully learn a thing or two while doing so.

During his time in Argentina for business, Rodolfo Michel came in contact with many people that had different opinions from him on major topics. He welcomed their opposing viewpoints as sources of education and found they helped either strengthen his own beliefs or help see the issue in a new light, both positives!

Another important lesson learned from traveling to other countries is that sometimes it is okay to slow down. Many countries outside the fast-paced United States travel at a slower pace and do things not only more efficiently but also more calmly. Rodolfo Michel advises taking moments throughout the day to breathe and appreciate your surroundings. It is always the little things that keep you carrying on through hard times.

Some places Rodolfo Michel has traveled include: Canada, Texas, California, Mexico, the already stated Argentina, and Panama. He specifically enjoys visiting colder climates because they are such a different environment than he is used to and he enjoys the crisp air. While in the cooler regions, Rodolfo Michel enjoys tubing and skiing. It took a lot longer to develop a knack for skiing, however, he said it was worth it when he was able to glide over the slopes and feel a sense of freedom and oneness; a similar feeling to the one he gets when photographing.

In Texas, Rodolfo Michel loves watching sporting events because of the extreme sense of pride the fans have. “When you’re surrounded by people that love what they’re doing, love where they, and love who they’re with... you too can feel a similar sense of enjoyment simply by appreciating their’s,” describes Rodolfo Michel of being at a Dallas Cowboys’ game.
